Challenge

Hazelbrook initially required specific HR support and ad-hoc recruitment.. They needed guidance to enhance their HR processes and effectively support their team’s growth and performance.

Approach

A-HA  integrated into Hazelbrook’s team, becoming their dedicated HR Partner on a retained basis. We assessed their existing HR policies and procedures, identified areas for improvement, and developed a tailored approach to address their HR needs.

Solution

Our partnership with Hazelbrook encompassed various HR initiatives, including the development of a capability framework, establishment of a clear progression pathway for staff, enhancement of the performance review process, and provision of coaching and support to senior staff. We also managed their recruitment processes, ensured compliance with relevant awards, and implemented a wellbeing program.

Experience

Despite initial uncertainty about the extent of HR support needed, we ended up becoming a deeply embedded trusted HR partner. Once Hazelbrook reached a critical workforce size they realised that they needed an internal HR person which we happily supported; and we remain available for advice as needed on complex workplace matters.

What our clients have to say

Our firm has been in operation for over 7 years and last year we reached a point where we realised we needed the support of an experienced HR professional. We reached out to A Human Agency initially for assistance on a project and a recruitment campaign, and were introduced to Simone as having a wealth of HR knowledge, particularly in law. We quickly learned how much support Simone could give to us and is now a valued member of our team as our People and Wellbeing Manager. She is always available when we need and sits with our Sydney team for ½ a day per week. Outsourcing our HR has been incredibly beneficial, we can’t imagine our business without her.
