Orion, established in 2015, experienced rapid growth in the land development and infrastructure sectors. With expansion from a team of 9 to 60 across multiple locations, they sought strategic HR support to manage their evolving needs.


Since 2018, A-HA has served as Orion’s HR Partner, providing tailored advice and support as their business grows. Recognising the need for regular but flexible HR guidance, Orion opted for flexible monthly support covering day-to-day queries and complex employment law issues.


A-HA addressed various HR challenges, including the transmission of business obligations, disability discrimination risk mitigation, and establishing inter-office secondment arrangements. Additionally, we executed a project to develop and embed a professional development plan and performance appraisal process, focusing on capability framework alignment, KPI setting, coaching, and platform implementation.


Our partnership with Orion resulted in the successful identification and implementation of an online performance platform, the creation and integration of a new capability framework, and comprehensive staff training. A-HA continues to provide ongoing HR support virtually and in person, ensuring Orion’s strategic HR needs are met as they navigate their growth journey.
